!!METAL MATT!!
Hear are some more Pic's of the body; when it's all done I will be dyeing it blood red http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/ZAD...ewwork50006.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/ZAD...ewwork60007.jpg and hear's what it used to look like back when it was the Infinity electric guitar copy I made but when I got it all cut out I hated it it was lame and it was not my design. I copyed it From a GUITAR PLAYER 1983 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/ZAD...ewwork10002.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/ZAD...ew60012cool.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/ZAD...newwork0001.jpg and this is the back of the guitar and some neck wood's Iam working with. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/ZAD...t90009matt4.jpg And hear is the neck I will be useing for the IMPALER it is an old peavey predator 7-string that I did alot of work and MOD'S too there great necks for the price and all I realy care about is that it's a Big Fat 7-string so hear it is http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/ZAD...ew50011cool.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v488/ZAD...ew30009cool.jpg !!METAL MATT!! Dugz Ink
It's a cool design. Does this have a face and a back? I'm asking because of that long lower horn. The wood grain running across it, which can really weaken the horn and make it prone to breaking. However, laminating a piece to the back of it can help a lot... especially if the wood grain on the backing piece is running in the same direction as the horn, or at a 60-90 degree angle to the grain of the face. !!METAL MATT!!
Well what you see is just the top witch is purpleheart I still have to glue and cut out the back witch is Bubinga It look's great and it's tough stuff so it will hold up but I don't plan on slaming the guitar around so it will be Ok !!METAL MATT!! metalcarver
That there is purty. You get another attaboy. For the guitar - I worry about your mind...
Dugz Ink
Well what you see is just the top witch is purpleheart I still have to glue and cut out the back witch is Bubinga That should be pretty strong. So you're going to dye/stain the Purpleheart red? That's interesting. Most people just struggle to stabalize the purple coloration, to keep it from getting too dark. It had never occured to me to use the natural purple color as a base. D~s
GuitarMaestro
Wow....great design. I would like it more if the lower body horn(the spike that is below the neck) would have a stright shape though instead. Would make the design more clear and pleasing to me at least. Oherwise it's great!

Well normaly I would leave it alone since I love Purpleheart but the Purple does not work with this design I want an Evil dark looking beast and blood red look's deadly. I never had to struggle to stabalize the purple coloration before but I realy wan't to try something new and working with dye is something that I've never realy done before so it should be fun!! !!METAL MATT!! fehgalloway
I must admit, I hate metal guitars, but I'll give you 10 points for enthusiasm! I guess if you want a metal guitar, then you've got one, so it's all good. Good luck anyway!
