AlGeeEater
Are you sure its the amp and not your guitar...read this: http://www.guitarnuts.com/wiring/shielding/shield3.php Edited November 26, 2004 by AlGeeEater
lovekraft
Unplug the guitar cord from the amp - does it still hum? If not, your amp is fine! Follow AlGeeEater's advice, and get that puppy shielded! If it does still hum, the first thing I'd do is check the reverb tank cables - if unplugging the reverb tank eliminates the hum, you'll need new cables at the very least. Beyond that, it's a solid state pcboard amp, so troubleshooting it is going to be a pain in the butt. Here's the schematic if you'd like to see what you're up against: Bullet/Bullet Reverb Amp Best of luck with it! And don't forget that poking around in there with the power hooked up can get you killed, so be very careful, or take it to an amp tech. lovekraft
Don't let it go to your head - my daddy used to that even a blind hog would get an acorn every now and again. Just kidding - I just couldn't resist! For the record: AlGeeEater was correct!
