westhemann Posted August 12, 2005 Report Share Posted August 12, 2005 I wonder if Wes will like it? ← that sure is almost identical in outline to my vee i designed,isn't it?just makes you wonder i don't like the construction,i think it is way over the top. have you looked threw the dark star gallery? they rip off bc rich! they have 2 guitars that are almost exactly like the bc rich worlock and beast go ahead look in their gallery! it looks as if he makes a living combining designs of others...bc rich bodies with ibanez headstocks,etc... but the main thing is that if you look through his highly photoshoped gallery,the neck joints and basic construction looks awkward. He is ripping off too many shapes (SG, Explorer etc) and IMO I think the carving is to the detriment of some of the guitars. To me it looks like he rushed the construction of his guitars to have more time to carve them, and I could seriously care less about artsy carvings.
