Guitar Of The Month For August

The Project Guitar.com "Guitar of the Month" contest is a showcase for all the members, so show us your axe in this thread!

This contest is open to any and all members that enter and will be continued each month for a place showing your creation on the homepage!

The winner(s) of course will have his/her guitar featured on the homepage of Project Guitar.com and if you have a website the picture will link directly to it if you so choose (even commercial sites).

If you're a forum member you will also be upgraded to a Featured Member which allows you to see the Advanced Chat section and download area.

So show us your creation in this thread! You've got till midnight EST the 25th of July then this thread gets locked and the voting starts!

Any Post that is not an entry will be deleted, feel free to start a new thread to discuss any guitar entered this month.

There may be more then one poll to determine winners in different catagories at the end of this contest!

Please post a maximum of your 4 best pictures per guitar entered

Side note, if you are unable to post a picture you can e-mail one to Brian and it will be posted for you

I'm french and I will put the first bass that I made in the contest for august.

pickups : 2 bartolini j-bass (2 vol/1 tone)

nut : graphite

24 frets (+ 0 fret), 34" scale, neck-thru.

inlay : aluminium, copper, stones (azurite, malachite, jasper, agate, lapis lazuli, ...), pearl.

This is my very first attempt at luthiery, and even woodworking in general. So, I suppose I may as well enter. :D

Neck: Wenge with Purpleheart and Poplar at Body and Padauk at headstock

Neck Construction: Through-neck

Fingerboard: Acrylicized Andiroba (thanks to Larry at Gallery Hardwoods)

Electronics: Active with Passive Push/Pull

Pickups: Bartolini Classic Bass Jazz

Preamp: Bartolini 3-Band with Volume/Blend

Hardware: Satin Chrome, Inlayed Straplocks, Wooden knobs

Bridge: ETS Tuning Fork

Tuners: Hipshot Ultralites

Finish: Boiled Lindseed Oil with Wax

Here is my most recent. Set this up last night plays like a dream and sounds great, for a great friend.

Double topped Quilted Maple on a douglas fir core.

Double bound with black and Cream.

Sides filled and painted black.

Lindy Fralin P90's.

Vol, Toggle, Varitone: Controls.

Neck birdseye maple.
