I have a question about p-90s, so I thought to pick this topic back up. I'm thinking of getting a tonerider p-90, mostly because of the positive reactions and the low price. Has any of youguys got experience with either the H-90 or the rebel (humbucker sized) pickups of tonerider?

What I really want to know though, what's the difference in sound between the two?

Cheers

PS I asked in another topic, but they told me to ask you.

The big difference is the Rebel and the Hybrid are 2 different sizes. The Rebel is a retro fit to replace a humbucker and the Hybrid is not. The Hybrid uses a combination of Alnico II and V magnets. Alnico II is a warm sounding magnet that produces a smooth midrange and good sustain. Alnico V is stronger and produces a glassy high end with good bass response. Put these 2 magnets together and you get one of the best sounding P-90's out there. Now the Rebel just has the Alnico II magnets. Tonally the Rebel is somewhere between a P-90 and a bucker with a strong tight bass and crisp highs.
