pete griffin
Hi, i've been visiting this site for a while, but this is my first time at posting. Anyway, i'm wondering where the best place to get a truss rod from in the uk is? Whenever a search for it i just get loads of results for truss rod covers, tools etc but never the truss rod itself. I'd also appreciate any help as to what size is recommended for a reasonably thin 24.75 scale electric guitar neck. Apologies if this is the wrong forum. Cheers
WezV
http://www.luthierssupplies.co.uk/ I like the bi-flex double action rods. You have to phone anyway so ask david which is more appropriate but i generally get the longer one. The adjustment is a little bulky so i usually have the truss rod at the body end when i want to do a thin neck I have also heard good things about this ebay seller. He's in taiwan but cheap prices and cheap delivery - worth it if buying quite a few
Mattia
Any of the UK sellers of guitar parts (there's a pinned topic under supplies, titled 'suppliers for EU folks' or something that I started ages ago) carries truss rods. Dave Dyke, Touchstone, Craft Supplies, WD UK, etc...
