Epiphone Riviera refinishing

Recommended Posts

:D This is my first post on this forum and hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction. I have an Epiphone Riviera with a turquoise finish that I'd like to strip off and repaint, but I need to do a lot more research before actually attempting it. Now to my question. When sanding off the old finish what do I do about the binding? Do I remove the finish from the bindings or leave it alone? If I don't sand it off how will it look when I spray the new lacquer over the body of the guitar? Any help would really be appreciated.-----Bob
