RestorationAD
Nice. I like the spool clamps... I might try that.

ScottR
That is one well seasoned chisel. What is the hole in the first fret slot for? It looks like it was drilled on purpose. SR

SR 15 years old chisel mate Have used the same chisel on all my builds and I love it The two holes are used when gluing the fingerboard to prevent it from shifting, the small nails have been removed now. mwcarl
Looks great, as much as I hate Fender-like headstocks. Do you think the binding is going to look a bit weird when cut out for the nut slot?

IPA or death
This might be my favorite of your builds. Beautiful woods and workmanship as usual. I'm always a sucker for a reverse headstock too .

wisdom727
Beautiful work and great photos, as usual, Patrick. That's an interesting heel transition. I'm trying to imagine how it feels while playing. You may have covered it in other threads, but please tell us more about your signature headstock inlay. Just trying to figure out whether it was bearing guided or the shaft rode on the template. The cutter looks a smaller radius than the bearing/shaft. Helldunkel
Oversized template, straight bit, no bearing and a guide installed on the router base.
Prostheta
Aha - the same way I did my f-holes on my last bass. When I next own a router (haha) I'll be sure to buy a set of guide bushings. I love those things ;-) Nice build, BTW. Hope to see some more developments!
