Make sure to make the painful pinched face whenever you bend a note, with the face pinching proportional to the amount of the bend. Additionally, there is a guy on youtube that does some interesting stuff with his four note blues. Then again, he's only excluding one note from the minor pentatonic, but still, he's got some nice licks.

Learn 12 bar blues, learn the pentatonic scale. Practice pentatonic scale on top of a repetition of an e chord then an a chord back and forth. After that put in a CD of whatever blues musician you like. Try on every song on the CD. You will find one that is easy for you to mess around with the pentatonic scale.

Also dont worry about learning all the blocks of the scale, just the one used most, which is the only block pattern where half the notes are on the same fret on each string (in a straight line).

If you try those things and are rather sucessful, then just keep practicing and maybe find a few licks you like. If it makes no sense to you then your gonna have to find some sort of lesson on DVD or something. I learned it off of a very old lesson that you could get in guitar for the practicing musician called "Metal Method". I doubt you will find it.

Good luck.
