Prostheta
ProjectGuitar.com has had a couple of major changes and many minor ones. Most importantly is the re-opening of the Gallery application which had become somewhat broken! The Gallery section is intended as a free area for active members (currently 10+ posts) to store photos and showcase their work. As of writing the storage capacity is set to 20MB with a maximum image upload size of 372kB. Donating members have their account automatically upgraded to 50MB, with site sponsors receiving 150MB. By bringing photo hosting onboard it is hoped that we can reduce image link rot and see less of those annoying broken image URL icons! Although the storage space offered via the Gallery is small in comparison to services such as Photobucket, etc. it will prove more than adequate for the vast majority of users. If you need extra space, please consider donating to PG or contact an administrator. Most importantly this allows members to upload images to their own galleries and post them directly to the forums using the "My Media" button in the post editor. The site has also seen a few visual tweaks and re-organisation. Unfortunately IE users may see oddities here and there, however this seems to be something that has been a consistent issue since 1995....! If you spot any visual inconsistencies or formatting errors, do let us know! A few more changes will happen here and there and we'll be sure to keep you appraised of them as and when they happen. Prostheta
Example of Gallery album posted from the "My Media" button: Example of single Gallery image: The Gallery/Forum systems are being worked on so that image thumbnails pop up in a lightbox instead of linking to the gallery image as they currently do. Again, to be updated. Quote Link to comment

HuntinDoug
Hey Carl, I cant figure out how to get images into "My Media".... Quote Link to comment
Prostheta
The Gallery in the top navigation is where you can upload and categorise your images. They then appear in the My Media box. :-) Quick link: http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/gallery/ Quote Link to comment
HuntinDoug
I'm still missing where to actually upload Quote Link to comment
Prostheta
There should be an "upload" button in the top right area of the Gallery section. I'm hoping to alter the layout of that section because I can see that it is not immediately clear, however I'm sure that in the next incremental software upgrade we'll see improvements automagically. Prostheta
No problem. I manually re-set all of your CNC group member privileges. Sorry about that. Quote Link to comment
