jessejames Posted January 11, 2016 Report Share Posted January 11, 2016 Need some advice on the upper portion. The bottom is curly maple, body is ribbon sapele. Neck is going to be curly walnut, fretboard will be ziricote. What would you use for the upper portion? I am thinking of some claro walnut. Has to be 3/4" thick. I tried some curly redwood but the router bit (Which was sharp) did some tearout and it's gone. (This is my own design for my personal line of stuff.)
