MiKro Posted June 1, 2018 Author Report Share Posted June 1, 2018 Started on the lap steel today. The last photo is a closeup of the side cuts. This was at 0.250" DOC per pass, 1/2" endmill. I would say my time squaring and tramming paid off. No sand paper was used before this picture and that is also 2 pieces of walnut glued up, both surfaced first on the cnc before glueup. My dust collector moves a lot of air and keeps sucking the skirt up into it allowing the chips to fly out. Time for a redesign or new skirt material to eliminate that problem. See vid for problem.
