DIYLC - My software for drawing guitar wiring diagrams and circuits with ease

Recommended Posts

I'm running a free (and ad-free) open-source software project for drawing electronic circuits, mostly pedal and amp layouts and schematics, but it can draw pretty much anything. It's widely used in pedal building community. I feel like there's a need for a piece of software that makes it easy to draw guitar wiring diagrams, so I beefed up support for guitar-related components in the latest version. It supports various pickup types (strat, tele, humbuckers, mini buckers, P-90s), several switch types - strat switch, super switch, LP switch, toggle switch, pots, most electronic and electro-mechanical components, various wires, etc.

Feel free to check it out and let me know if you miss any features https://github.com/bancika/diy-layout-creator

It works on windows, OSX, linux...pretty much any machine capable of running Java SE. No phone/tablet support at this time.

Here's a super simple example with one pickup and few pots and switches

In the next version I plan to add some bass pickups among other things.

Cheers and Happy New Year.
