westhemann 518 Report post Posted September 6 You definitely want to use a really strong wood for that. Maybe impregnate some bubinga with CA.

Prostheta 1,657 Report post Posted September 7 Funny. We just stepped out of sauna, and I'm about to have a good tuoppi of Old Rosie cider.
Bizman62 298 Report post Posted September 7 (edited) Cider here, too, Magners. We ran out of beer... Have you heard cider being called "homovissy" ("gay soda" for the non-Finnish world)? Edited September 7 by Bizman62

Bizman62 298 Report post Posted September 7 Jebus Chwist! That sounds - unhealthy, let's stick with that. It seems you've not familiarized yourself with sauna, losing several lbs of your weight in an hour just by sweating. Note that going to the sauna is very common here after a day's hard work in the sun where you already have dehydrated your body a lot. And believe or not, some people here swear by the after sauna coffee! Not me, beer is a lot more comfortable despite being about as diuretic as coffee. As a side note, it's been said that the optimal temperature for a Finn would be about 14° C. So what do Finns do when they get stationed in a much warmer climate? They build a sauna! westhemann 518 Report post Posted September 7 Most of us are in Texas. It's 100f outside right now. We lose our water weight every day and then gain it back in the evening . We don't do saunas. I've only been in one in my life, in Costa Rica.
westhemann 518 Report post Posted September 7 Though, when it gets below 40f we do tend to soak in hot baths. Lol

Think about spending an hour at 160-200° for an hour every time you feel like dusty and sweaty to the bone! You'd be clean down to your soul! [Edit] You hot-tubbies, you! Prostheta 1,657 Report post Posted September 8 Never heard cider being called that. Old Rosie isn't exactly that Happy Joe crap, or any of those supermarket grade ciders. It's a proper cloudy scrumpy. Dry as hell, stronger than anything outside of fake ciders.
Bizman62 298 Report post Posted September 8 2 hours ago, Prostheta said: Old Rosie isn't exactly that Happy Joe crap, Yup. Traditionally fermented cider is pretty hard to find in supermarkets. Not to mention that they often include artificial sweeteners which cause issues for some like my older one.
