LGM Guitars
Yup, that's right, Things are finally moving along and LGM Guitars is now offering complete necks for your custom guitar, or for that neck that got broken. Please note that these will NOT have an Ibanez headstock, or say Ibanez, and I CAN'T do that, it is 100% illegal for me to cut an Ibanez headstock shape and use their logo on anything but an original Ibanez neck. Having said that, I think my headstock shape is cooler anyway LOL!!!! I have specs for 6 and 7 string old neck joint and AANJ necks and prices are I believe more than reasonable for complete custom necks. Here is a couple pictures of a Lefty UV replacement neck, I can do right and left, with standard or reversed headstocks at no extra charge. LGM Guitars
I'll get some prices on my website as soon as I can, I don't think I'm allowed to post pricing on the forum though, it's kinda bad nettiquette anyway
Snork
Sorry for suggesting the stupid idea, but I'll look for prices when they get up. I have a bunch of JEM owning friends who need refretted necks, and would probably just want the entire neck. Can't Wait, Sam Fisher
rgto
Nice!! The headstock reminds me of the short lived Signature Guitar Co. styles. They were supposed to look a bit like an eagle beak. They were the brainchild of Alex Lifeson and some of his friends. Very cool. Ryan
Brian
I think they Rock Will you be offering paddle head necks as well for people that want to make their own shape?
LGM Guitars
I think they Rock Will you be offering paddle head necks as well for people that want to make their own shape? Unfortunately no. Basically to date my neck work has consisted primarily of modifying Ibanez necks as you know. There are other companies that offer blank paddle headstocks for far less than I could do it for and at this point since every neck is done by hand (save for some repeating jig use) I am only interested in doing complete "new" necks. However, if somebody wants to use an original custom headstock shape, I can cut that in. (pricing may vary depending on the headstock shape) One of the main reasons for not wanting to offer blank headstock paddles, is the fear of having brand name headstocks put on them (such as Ibanez etc) and without permission from said companies to replicate their headstocks I can still be held liable for fraudulant necks (though it would be hard to make stick when it's a customer doing their own mods). Basically the last reason I don't want to offer that, is as it sits, I will offer a one year warranty on my necks since I see them through to completion, if I'm sending out necks that people can finish on their own it leaves it open to mistakes and problems in completion, not something I want people trying to hold me responsible for. Besides, I'm trying to get a recognized headstock shape out there now the first full custom LGM Guitar is in the works as we speak

daveq
Nice looking necks LGM! Any chance you can give us a sneek peak at the body shape/features? Will your website list the available wood types, radius info, back shape, ... ? I really hope things take off for you. It looks like you are headed that way. darren wilson
These necks look great, Jeremy! At first i wasn't too crazy about the headstock design, but now i kinda like it. I think it'll work with the JEM/RG body style better than Ibanez's own headstock. It almost reminds me of a 6-inline version of Caparison's head. goth_fiend
what about different headstocks? my custom annihilator (which still needs to be beveled and routed for everything) needs a neck and i have a 'spike' style headstock for it, could you do that and what would be the increase/decrease in cost?
mullmuzzler
Excellent, Jeremy! I love your work, especially now that I can order a neck from you. I was wandering, is it possible to send you drawing of my 12-fret inlay for a custom neck (all-maple, 12-fret inlay only, unfinished headstock without your logo)? The guitar-to-be-built that needs neck is in this topic. Thanx mullmuzzler | OSSMT
LGM Guitars
The answers to the above questions are all Yes, Cost differences just depend on complexity, custom headstocks dependant on the complexity to cut, simply because I have teh jigs done for the LGM headstock shape As for custom inlays, of course, that's what I'm all about
Scooby
Am I wright when I say that it would be $325 for a 6 string neck and then another $275 if you want a Jem/UV style pyramids or Vine? So it would be $600 for a neck?
