envenomedcky
I'd have to say The Undiscovered Numbers and Colors by Foreign Objects. You won't find their CD in stores, but you can find the MP3 in various places, killer stuff.
Page_Master
these are close to my fav riffs of all time, and are the ones i can mention of the top of my head. listed as band - album - song Strapping Young Lad - City - All Hail The New Flesh Zyklon - Aeon - Psyklon Aeon Soilwork - The Chainheart Machine - The Chainheart Machine funnily enough i think my fav riffs are the bands fav riffs too. simply because they are the first songs of their albums. well first song after the intro. Necrovore
Some personal favorites. Not necessarily only riffing but overall songwriting for each song. Possessed - Seven Churches(specifically the song but the whole album is killer) Bathory - A Fine Day To Die (no better Blackmetal epic riffing. Blood Fire Death has such a HUGE guitar sound. even though recorded off a 25 watt Yamaha practice amp.) Slayer - Hardening of the Arteries Judas Priest - Hellion/Electric Eye Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madman (esp. the breakin from the aucoustic to electric. This change is so powerful and chilling) Motley Crue - Knock 'Em Dead Kid (Probably one of the heaviests riffs written from the Hollywood Hair metal bands) Rolling Stones - Paint It Black Marduk - Wolves Necrovore - Treacherous Abominations Necrovore - King For Fools
