darren wilson
1) Where's his left eye? 2) Why are his disembodied hands floating in space? 3) Where do you get a hardshell case for that thing?

noviceluthier
i cant put my finger on what the guy in that guitar looks like, but it kind of looks like a snowman, or scarecrow, im not sure.
BLS
Look like the Phantom of the Opera or something

spirit
its creepy. wonder why it didn't get a patent though. who else has made a guitar curved like that?
darren wilson
It probably wan't "functional" enough to get a patent.
krazyderek
looks like amateur carving work, still much better then i could carve something like that.... but it definitly doesn't warant the 6500$ price tag... cool guitar, the guy just needs to work on his style a bit more, get the artwork of the carve a bit more aw-inspiring
Steve Luke
It's awful. You're obviously a talented carpenter, now go and do something presentable in decent company
Steve Luke
Excuse me, I've got to go for a lie down now. Hope that thing hasn't given me nightmares.
KsE Guitars
wow, thats one hell of a curve on the body... looks like it would be hard to make. and the carving... i dunno... i havent really made up my mind yet
Steve Luke
I've made up my mind - it's bollocks
Snork
i think you guys are real shmucks for trashing that guy. it probably took him hundreds of hours on the carve. you couldn't do ANY better and if you could i'd LOVE to see it because it would win GOTM hands down. doing a LP carve isnt easy so dont even start insulting someones work. but i do agree it isnt worth 6500. darren wilson
You don't have to be able to do better to recognize that his technique and composition are really not very good. It may or may not have taken hundreds of hours. It may have been done with a dremel. Snork, you need to understand that when people are being critical, they're not making a personal attack. Part of growing up and maturing is learning to be able to take criticism constructively without feeling "insulted" on a personal level. Nobody said, "That guy is a talentless asshole." People just said they didn't like his work.

Devon Headen
"the guy"? That'd be SRV . I think it's okay, I'd take it for a few hundred, but 6500...that's ridiculous
Steve Luke
I just had another look at it, and I can only repeat - Full marks for workmanship, obviously a very talented and dedicated craftsman, so full credit where it's due. However - Ha ha ha h ahha hahahahahahahaha!!!! Oh, bloody hell!
erikbojerik
I know what it is. I think the carving is good, but man...I wish he hadn't used a morgue photo.
