Mocking Bird style axe by Alex

(Project Guitar of the Month for December 2002)

The body and neck are painted with a black water based stain. Lots of it to, I let the body soak it up.
After drying one day I finished the body and neck with tung oil so it won't stain.

Here are the specs:

Body: 1 piece Honduras mahogany
Neck: 1 piece mahogany
Fret board: maple for the highs and a rosewood veneer for the looks
Pickups: Jackson with black plastic EMG style covers
Bridge: Schaller
Electronics: 1 volume, 1 miniswitch for the pickup switching

I made this guitar out of scratch, no prefab here :-) Alex
