About Project Guitar

While this site will primarily remain a solid body electric guitar site I welcome anyone who would like to learn as well as teach about acoustic guitars or any other stringed instrument. We don't discriminate by brand or model here, all are welcome.

Keeping with my original idea, this site is completely dedicated to teaching as well as showing where you can go to get specialty supplies or services to complete your unique project. I also hope this site helps to inspire those few that are looking for a group of people to hang out with on the Internet and have fun making one of a kind guitars as well as giving them an outlet to show off their own creations.

Each section of this site will constantly grow as ideas are discovered and shared from members as well as myself, so if you have something you would like to contribute please do!

Home Page: Is of course the focal point with a brief introduction to what is in each of the other categories and also showing the Project Guitar of the Month and a link to the Web site of the Month.

Tutorials: These are on and off site pages to help you learn and work your way through both simple and complex tasks. On Site tutorials each have a printer friendly link in case you need to make a copy for your work area away from the computer. If you would like to volunteer a tutorial of interest on your own simply type it up and submit it. You will be given full credit as the author.

Reference: While I will constantly strive to have the ultimate self help web site for now there is simply to much information to gather which is already available on other web sites and I do give credit where it is due. Each link will open up a new page on your browser so that you won't loose this reference site. All project guitar friendly sites (those that link back to us) are highlighted in green please make sure you stop by and visit these people. Sites with banners are partners which help keep this site going so when you can please purchase items from these people.

News: This section has updates on the latest new additions to Project Guitar.

Gallery: This is a showcase of what other people just like you have accomplished. Broken down into sections it covers everything from simple modified guitars to completely built from scratch project guitars.

Archive: If you missed the old news and want to catch up you can find it here. The archive covers this sites history by keeping a copy of each of the home pages on a month to month basis.

Forum: The Forum is the place to gather and ask questions and also search for answers if you can't find them anywhere else on the site. It is also a place to hang out and share idea's with others interested working on their own guitars. Completely interactive and free to the general public you will also find the site's only interactive vendors section known as "Verified Vendors ", please use their services when ever you can as the dues they pay help to support the cost of running both the forum and this web site.

Peace and Good Luck on Your Project, Brian Calvert
