I purchased a used Crate amp about 2 weeks ago from TGC & had it shipped to a local store. I tested it & worked & sounded great. However, the other day I noticed when I turned the amp volume down to zero on my guitar still played a regular volume. The amp also gets very hot after 30 min. of use. I also noticed the amp volume to be extremely low when none of the Boss pedals were on 7 that's on both channels. Anyone know what this problem is & is it an expensive repair

I need Help with connecting my Zoom 9030 effects processor with my amp along with a Rocktron Hush I have. Zoom 9030 input/output jacks are: Front-Input & Phones Back-Input-External(Return & Send)-Output(L & R)-MIDI(In & Out) Rocktron Hush input/output jacks are: Back-In(CH. A mono & CH. -Out(CH. A & Ch. I don't know how to connect these two together, please help Thanks in advance.

It's been a while since I built my guitar, which was a replica of Prince's Cloud Guitar. It's been done since earlier this year but i've played it maybe 4 times & was not satisfied with it 4 some reason. What the problem is the strings should be close to the fretboard & they are but only up top. As u go down the fretboard the strings start to get farther away from the fretboard & both pickups. I tried drilling the bridge-pin holes deeper but it's still not right. What should I do? Thank u in advance!

I put masking tape over the frets before painting but after spraying Primer, Paint, & Lacquer when it came time 2 peel off the masking tape some of the paint around the edges off the frets came off with the tape. What did I do wrong?

I've since put the guitar in the shop 4 a professional fret job & it came back just the way I wanted it. However he had 2 remove all the paint off the fretboard in order 2 do it. I went back to Sherwin-Williams Automotive 4 more paint. I asked how long was the curing process & he couldn't tell nor does the label mention curing. What is say"Apply 2-3 medium wet coats, plus a drop of coat 2 even out metallics. Allow 5 minutes flash between coats & 15-20 minutes before clearcoating" which I think is 2 soon. How long should I let it sit before applying rub-off decals as inlays & then putting clear lacquer on it? THANX IN ADVANCE

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive Polisher/Buffer

It has always been a dream to own an all maple replica of Prince's Cloud Guitar & after some I was able to build one very close to the one played by the most underrated guitarist ever!(Had 2 slide that in there) After laying down 3-4 coats of paint & 10-15 coats of clear lacquer over the whole guitar including the fretboard now came the time for installing the frets. While hammering the frets in place the paint began to chip badly on just about every fret, causing my project to lose it original gorgeous finsh. Is there any way in the future to install frets without having this happen again?

That's a really good idea with how u hang them. I see these fixtures all the time in the trash.

I was wondering how to paint a neck-through style guitar. I thought I would hang a thick piece of wood in my shed & then tie a piece of 30lb. fishing test line to kind of suspend it in air for a thorough spray job. However the guitar slipped & fell to the concrete HARD totally severing the neck into large pieces . I was able to glue the pieces back 2gether & clamp it with Gorrilla Glue for a firm hold. Now the glue is oozing out the crack but that's the least of my problems right now. I've finished a bolt-on with no problem but this is tedious.

When I get 2 the counter it's suddenly $199.99 so I say 2 the salesman it's priced differently over there & he says it's a different guitar & this is a package. So I say no problem, he then asks me if I want the 2yr. extended warranty for $19.99 which is not bad at all. I say yes cause it's for a minor & who knows what will happen. Then all of a sudden the SHAFT comes: "Oh U qualify for the warranty 2 day at no extra cost 2 u at all, i'll just incorporate it into the price". Ibanez IJAE5 $179.99-$5.00 spiff from Ibanez to sell thier product + 2% commision from TGC Warranty $19.99-20% of warranty at the end of the month $4 Commission from TGC $5 Ibanez $4 For selling extended service contract $13-15 USD for a 5 min. sale I don't mind paying if I want coverage, but don't F#@k me on it, thinking I don't know what's up. I could be a real BB & go back & cancel the warranty for thinking i'm blind, i've seen it done at my old employer a million times.

They are good amps. I went 2 TGC 2day & finally played through one & the tone is 2 die 4. However I discovered a brand I never heard called Blackstar. The model was a Artisan 30 & wow this right now is the front runner. I checked Harmony Central 4 reviews but nothing on it.
