Wow I didn't know such a simple question could get people so pissed off ..... For budget reasons I got the Super Distortions. I got a sweat deal on them because I asked the dude at the store (he also owns the store) if I could have a discount because I thought the price was a bit high. He said he had them for a long time and just wanted to get rid of them so I got a sweet price on them.

A quick question.... is the back of the 5150 guitar solid red or is it candy striped like the front of the guitar?

this has inspired me to make my first cheapy korean made strat knock off into the 5150 paint job!!!!

I'm looking for bassy pickups for my baritone project and wondered what humbucker style pickups are generally the best in the bassey category. I looked at Dimarzio's Site (no reall brand prefrence I just heard they make bassey pickups) and looked at the tone charts and considered the Sueper Distortion or the Parker ones. However, if anyone knows some really good lowend humbuckers that would be sweet.

I noticed in many pictures that I see it looks like you guys glue 2 pieces of wood together. If I were to purchase the body blanks from warmoth to make an SG style guitar would I need to buy two body blanks or just one?

I know you have to get a longer scale neck and thicker strings but is there any other things you need to get different that a normal guitar like different pickups or bridges?

I plan to make a Vee guitar and I think I could make neck pocket that can suit any neck but then again I haven't tried every neck.

I think a more knowledgeable member should list the bare minimum tools (and decent prices for them) to make a guitar and have that topic pinned, because I see alot of what tools do I need threads, and I was tempted to post one but if they had something like that pinned that would be cool and helpful.

I can't seem to find any place to find a 24fret bolt on neck. I have to admit to not searching super hard, but I check carvin an briefly scanned warmoth and came up with nothing. Oh yeah I don't really trust ebay.

I realy like my tele except for that "awful" headstock. So I was wondering if I could just buy a Strat neck (which has a much better looking headstocK) and put it in the Tele.
