  1. took out the old logo (which was a decal i had made), then placed a new one on top of the color coat.
  2. DUPLICOLOR...and yeah i'm stubborn like that... but it turned out great didn't it?
  3. thanks guys....as an update here's the headstock colormatched.
  4. Yes it easier to bend string coz there's no wood there for youR fingers to get caught up on.
  5. Just wanted to share my guitar It's an Ibanez GSA60 (black originally) which i refinished and routed the body to accept a floyd (which i have blocked for now so i could change tunings faster) also added Dimarzio Protrack and Dimarzio Evolutions, the middle pick up is the stock one but it's not wired and just there as a decoy, also i scalloped frets 12 to 22. I also have som chrome pick-up rings there to add some bling. i'll be doing the headstock in a few days to make it match the body, also have some custom decals on there coz i hated the "GIO" thing there and it had no swoosh. in comparison here's the stock one
  6. actually there's no more smell, i haven't tried the fingernail test though....but as of now i could use it and stuff, i guess most of the guitar is dry already except for the lower horn (at the back) where i had some few runs...i guess the paint is thicker there therefore hasn't cured yet. i think it may be also the inside that is still not fully cured since i was able to wetsand and buff everything already...
  7. hi i just refinished my Ibanez GSA60 using rattlecans, Duplicolor Metal Speck and the trusck suv clear coat, now i know (from reading here) that those clears take forever to cure...like right now i could use it but can't place it down where the paint would touch anything coz it would leave impressions, right now when i'm not using it i put it on a platform where only the neck and the tremolo cavity cover are the ones touching it. Is there anyway of speeding the curing time? btw here's a pic of the guitar.
  8. i know this is kinda late addtion but Dupli-Color has a Metal Speck paint that is like metal flake although the flakes aren't too big also but the particles are bigger than what you could see on ordinary metallic paints. I tried it on my guitar (this isn't finished yet) here's a pic of it.
  9. hey guys, i was wondering, is it ok if i sand the back of my guitar's neck to make it a little slimmer? right now it's not that fat but i wanted it to be a little slimmer and flatter. And if i do that what do i put on the neck in terms of finish...i mean what is originally on there. Thanks. BTW here's a pic of the guitar, ive installed a Floyd Rose on it, put in a Dimarzio Evolution and scalloped frets 17-22
