Here are some new pics of the FedEx guitar in primer and some ruff cut pics of the lower case v and the stratitsnot on the body blanks from mammoth.
That Purple Heart was not hard to cut at all. I did not even have any burning.

I just had an idea! You could spray the bleach on! If its too thick water it down a little to thin it, i think if you spray your coats strategically you should be able to get the look you're going for.
-
Thats an interesting idea, but it would be tough to get your effect consistent.
-
What would be handy is if they had miter boxes out ther for 13 degree cuts. cause I know you can get like dovetail saw miterboxes that have the usual 90, 45, 30, 60 degree cutting guides... but i'm guessing 13 degrees would be a hard one to find lol
Chris
I built one, works fine.

Just go there > Instructional > Lessons
Plenty of arpeggios there! -
Man! Looking sweet dude!
P.S. You better change those pics to links/make them smaller/only 1 per post otherwise the mods will take them off altogether and we dont want that happening. Afterall, you put those pic's up "tommorow" July 8th!
lol!

Just incase anybody is "inspired" by this thread to mod/build an amp..
How to drain Filter Capshttp://studentweb.eku.edu/justin_holton/caps.html
Please read that, your life depends on it. That link explains the danger in building amps pretty much, well, one of the hazards anyways.

Hey I like it so far man just don't let anyones pic hoarding habits rub off on you
-
Are you going to use a regular control cover for the back or will you do the yellow and black stripes like on the inside?
-
chewing bubblegum worked for me in the beggining lol
-
darn coca cola ad placements are showing up everywhere nowadays
but nice abalone either way drak, which btw is what they're cooking on the Iron Chef show right now.

-
lol you've left us in suspense of the climax to your little story.
-
Hey that's really neat man thanks for sharing the link.
PS. can anyone tell me what tuning the guy is playing in, whether it be standard or something else?
-
I'm interested in the stain too, I bet it would work better if the wood was bleached first.
-
do either this or airbrush them on
-
-
I was wondering the same thing but then again it just has to be rigid enough for the template to be pushed against it.
-
I'm glad you like the crocodile skin idea! I never really thought of using heat like that. I like the idea of using steam to soften the leather and then pressing the metal plate into the back of it to get the edge. You could probably use a blowdrier or something to dry the pickguard into that shape.
Whatever you do just make sure you post a picture of it!

In my dear good honest opinion, I think it's just plain obvious that he is doing a mating dance to see if his long lost monkey companion will ever turn up in any of the crowds he plays for. I think it's insulting for anyone to question what he does on stage.

Wow this a really close vote, I think there should be two winners then, theres no sense in letting someone "lose" by such a small margin.
