  1. I love dragonforce so much. I'm going to see them on the 28th of April and I'm so excited. I'll tel lyou guys all about it.
  2. Alright thanks, I'll take it in when I get a chance. How much can I expect to pay for something like that? It wouldn't let me edit my post so Im writing here. I just phoned all the music stores around here. One doesnt deal with peavey so they won't do it, the other one that carries peavey doesn't rebias things so they would need to send it out and it would probably be gone for weeks not to mention I'd probably have to paying shipping both ways on my large heavy amp. Is there anyway around this or am I going to have to do this everytime I change tubes?
  3. Dead after three months? My amp has a fixed bias so I can only use 6L6 tubes, which i put in and it says that they're guaranteed for 6 months so maybe I'll be able to get free replacements or something. Alright thanks guys, maybe I'll put the old tubes back in and see if it still happens.
  4. Ya i tried that too, and its not the cables either because i tried it with several different ones. It seems ok when I first turn it on but it seems to die out shortly after, ill try it again tomorrow and see what happens. Its a 45 watt peavey prowler combo, similar to the valve king if that helps at all.
  5. Alright so yesterday I was playing guitar and then after a few hours my amp's volume gradually declined to almost nothing. I turned it up and it barely went anywhere, its a 45 watt tube combo, so it gets loud. I was concerned but I put it on standby then a while later i plugged in and turned it on and it seemed to work ok so i turned it off. This morning I wake up, set up my pedalboard and stuff, plug in and its working fine. Then the volume decliens again, i turn off my noise gate and it seems to be normal, i shrug and continue playing. A short while after (less than 5 minutes) I hear my amp sound really sort of fuzzy or crackly, i turn off some pedals and stuff and its still really buzzy, and quiet, i switch to the clean channel, same thing, i push all the buttons and everything, its not gonna work. I turn it off and log onto PG. I replaced the power tubes in januarybut i dont know when the preamp tubes were last replaced, i normally play at low volumes.. about 1 on the dial sometimes 2 tops, if anyone knows whats wrong please reply. THhanks in advance spencer
  6. Pm Curtis P, I think he bought one a while back and said that he thought it was good. MY guess is that it won't be fantastic and thwe elctronics will probably need an upgrade and it might need to be setup but other than that I wouldn't expect much worse.
  7. There are 2 solid body and bass guitar forums because one is references and tutorials for how to do things, if you can't find a detailed explanation of something there try the chat section. Its labelled chat because it is where you can post questions and stuff, unlike the reference section which is only supposed to include tutorials and references and specific questions about a tutorial or something. And while the one section is labelled chat I don't think it implies that you should neccesarily ask questions that have probably been answered many times before such as "how do I wire a killswitch?" The chat part i think is more for people who have specific questions that havent been adressed yet, or require more indepth advice or soemthing. So while I can understand your point of view, and some people do get kind of hostile about asking questions that have been answered many times in the past, I think that the forums are labelled appropriately.
  8. You'd have to make a little schedule though so that people don't work out 2 differenct parts to go in one place. Maybe eventually people could even record the song, or parts of it and it could get pieced together or soemthing by someone with the right programs and stuff.
  9. This has affected me in the strangest way, I had a rough day at school adn work today and I hopped on here to read about guitars. Unfortunately, I have now learned that BP has passed on and it saddens me much more than I had ever thought possible. I never talked to him, and I never had much interaction with him at all, but I thought that BP was a great example of how good this forum could be, whenever anyone lost their cool BP was calm and always was ready to edit someones post or to tell them to knock it off but he never came across as an a**hole. I admired BP for the way he acted, for how intelligent he was and for everything he gave us. I will miss him around here, as I'm sure we all will, and I hope that we never forget the way we would act if he was here. I hope you're in heaven selling guitars to SRV and Jimi and that heaven paypal doesnt have a 3% sellers fee. R.I.P.
  10. If the matched 6L6Ga tubes work fine want to give them to me? I know that theres some form of machine that can test tubes but I don't know where youwould have access to one. Sweet find though, sounds awesome.
  11. I'd like to congratulate all of you, I think that you'll make some great mods.
  12. I was gonna point that out too , nice sig by the way too
  13. I'm looking for a whammy pedal to add to my (non-existant) pedal board, I figured I'd see if anyone here has one before I find one somewhere else. I'm hoping not to break the bank, if someone has one shoot me a pm and we'll see. Thanks.
  14. Awesome, I heard those were great amps but I've only seen review from non impartial players(guitar mags) so its great to see that they are as good as they're cracked up to be. It'll be a long time till I can afford one though being a student and all . Oh well, when I get a high paying job you'll know what one of my first buys will be .
  15. What style trem? floyd or vintage? I have a tuneomatic I would be willing to trade.
  16. Ya.... I moved my hot amp that had been running for hours outside into a Canadian winter...it still seems fine but how worried should I be?
  17. If he has some $ to blow he could get the Morley George Lynch Tripler then he can set up his effects chain in front of it and then he can run one amp or both amps at the same time. Although I do have to ask is he running effects in the effects loop of his amps? because in that case there would be more complicated switching to work out without having to invest in a seperate set of pedals.
  18. Nice design, its pretty slick. It looks a bit like a cross between a bich, a steinberger and the Ibanez Reb Beach signature model.
  19. Haha, if I had 8 floyd equipped guitars I'd get on that but I have 2...and a half. So for now I just need one and more will come...more will come.
  20. God i want one!!!! Tell the factory to get its rear in gear and hook me up, I am 100% serious, as soon as I see your email about them, my paypal will be sent out and I will spring for express delivery if I can. I've been waiting.
  21. I second the peavey valve king, also see if musicians friend is still selling the peavey XXX for $499 because thats a great amp for a a killer price.
