I tried re doing all of the joints, but the same result. Could it be possible that I wired the switch backwards? Would that make a difference?, Im not sure which was is first or if that even matters.
thanks for all of the replies, I'm not using that particular switch but ill re-check all of the joints tomorrow to see if I can find out whats going on with it
Hey everyone, I just wired up my guitar using the second diagram on this page (http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/Electronics/Switches/i-3191.html), and only the 2nd and 4th positions are producing sound. The other three positions are only audible when on high gain and even then they are really quiet and sound distant. Any ideas on what I may have done wrong? thanks!
What im looking to make is something like the prs satana model. It looks like its more than a half inch. Does anybody know about how thick its top is and if a half inch is not enough?
The wood that I can buy is either 1" thick, 9/16", or 1/2"
-Thanks
I have been recently been looking into the Marshall plexi reissues, there are 3 (jtm45, 1987x, 1959slp). I cant decide which to get, and if anyone has tried these amps and has a reccomendation of one over the other it would be appreciated
-Thanks
Well I cant get internal pics but i can answer your questions, the amp that the foot switch is for is the line 6 spider 3 75 watt. The pedal doesnt need an external power supply, it gets its power from the amp. It also has a wah/volume pedal attached to it(the pedals name is the fbv shortboard) I was trying to see if i could get it to plug into any of the marshall amps.
I have a footswitch that connects to my amp through a cat 5 cable (also called ethernet i believe). I want to use it on a different amp - is there anyway to convert the cat 5 to a 1/4 inch input ?
- Thanks
Here is the diagram:
