  1. This reminds me of this guitar: http://www.borntorock.com/f4c.html Its neat to see this idea executed in wood instead of aluminum tubing.
  2. I have heard before that some builders (I can't remember if its Sadowsky or Elrick. Probably both and many more) wont use coated strings because it doesn't ground the strings, so that is probably your problem. But that's a very nice build! That neck looks like it'll play itself. The body is a little small so I'd be worried about neck dive, but I dig it.
  3. I think you're not measuring from the nut correctly or something. But by using the distance from the 12th fret to the 24th suggests that your neck is 25" scale. Just use this info: nut to 12th fret = 12 3/8 nut to 24th fret = @< 18 5/8 Then find the difference between the two points: 18 5/8 - 12 3/8 = 6 1/4 Since the distance from the 12th fret and the 24th is a quarter of the total scale length, multiply by 4: 6 1/4 * 4 = 25 There you go. Be sure to measure the distance from the 12th fret to the 24th to confirm this though.
