  1. I found an acoustic guitar, a decent brand, but one that obviously sat around without strings for a long while. Sighting down the neck, it is bent back squarely at the joint to the body. I have put strings on and loosened the truss rod a bit and this has helped somewhat but the bend is still there. I don't want to loosen the truss rod any more for fear that I may end up cracking the wood if I rush this. Is there sage advice out there? Am I wasting my time with this? Is it time to remove the fretboard and sand? Serge
