  2. AX84 Hi-Octane tube amp head: Handwired by Chris Hurley, the founder of the AX84 project and he's no longer selling them. This is all Point-To-Point Wired. Controls are Volume-Treble-Mid-Bass-Gain 1-Gain 2. It has 2 Ei 12AX7 tubes in the preamp and the option of either 1 EL84 output tube (7 watts) or 1 6N1P output tube (1 watt). Tonewise, I'd put this amp as somewhere between a Vox and Marshall with the EL84. Very bright and chimey when clean, all the way up to pretty crunchy and aggressive when distorted. With the 6N1P tube, it becomes very warm and thick (very brown) sounding. You can truly get this amp down to whisper quiet, even with a 2x12 cab and can crank it all the way up to deafening volume levels. It has outputs for 4, 8, and 16-ohm speakers. It comes in a pine head cabinet that I built for it. I'll include a stack of 6N1P tubes, enough to last you a lifetime. $500 http://cgi.ebay.com/AX84-Hi-Octane-Tube-Guitar-Amp-HANDWIRED-ptp-EL84-head-/140492464139?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b600e00b

  4. Here we go: 4 body blanks to start with: http://shop.ebay.com/soundat11/m.html All of these are solid wood and thick: 13 3/4 x 21 x 1 7/8 Worldwide shipping
  5. Thanks Chris! I have 4 of these available if anyone is interested. All were cut from the same board so they look similar, although two of them are flashier than the one posted in the eBay listing: orange streaks! They are $90 apiece. Buy more than one and save $5 on each. Shipping costs are separate (I will ship outside of the US too). I'll post some detailed photos over the weekend. Will
  6. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=140470011652 1 solid piece blank (2 available). They're 13 3/4" wide x 21" long x 1 7/8" thick. They are extremely stable, have no cracks, and are flat as can be.
  7. I totally dig the African wildlife on the back. It's distinct and different, plus, it adds a little bit of the vibe from James Hetfield's "deerhunter" Explorer copy.
  8. lol, thanks for the kind words, Chris! Yeah, I've got a closet full of wood that I've been too lazy to sell since I closed my wood business and got an actual salaried job. Hopefully, I'll list some good stuff this weekend.
  9. Similar problem: well over 15 posts, but PM isn't working.
  10. *bump* Will have more pieces from personal stash posted soon
  11. Wow! Who knew the mahogany would pop out like that? How does it sound unplugged? Is the neck holding up strong?
  12. Wow! Your work on this one is flawless. The Black Limba is really good (I'm partial to orange streaks). The body shape, headstock shape, cross inlay, the finish, all great. How is the sound? How does it compare with a traditional rosewood/mahogany/spruce acoustic?
  13. Yes, I've seen figured basswood to. It's very nice looking to, since basswood is so light-colored, the flames usually pop out nicely.
  14. DigiTech Bad Monkey Overdrive Pedal $36 Shipped in the USA Excellent Shape with box included Seymour Duncan Custom-Custom models: $45 shipped US for SH-11, $50 shipped US for TB-11 Both are double-black. Very good condition. TB-11 has the white SD logo, SH-11 has no logo on the face. Both are recently manufactured models. Mounting holes on the TB-11 are enlarged for direct-mounting. Both have the 4-conductor wiring. Dunlop GCB-95 Crybaby Wah Pedal $35 + shipping (I'll need to calculate it based on your zip code), I'll include a DPDT switch so you can wire it true-bypass if you want. Missing one rubber foot (so it's got 3 of the 4) and battery connector no longer works (so you've got to use AC power). Sounds good, very good cosmetic shape, and could be a good platform for modding. CTS Long Shaft Push-Pull 500k pots: *SOLD* White-covered Fender MIM Strat single coils (bridge, middle, and neck). Sound great and work, only problem is that the previous owner (a friend of mine) cut all the lead wire off (wish he'd asked me before doing that) when installing a set of replacement pickups. You can still trim back the remaining wire and solder on some replacement wire or else just use them as dummy pickups (like EVH did) or fridge magnets. Make an offer on these, shipping would be $5 in the US.

  19. Nice job, Rick. Very clean work, nice body shape, really cool looking neck, and very pretty woods. Good work in that neck joint, that's tight. I like that idea of the Limba with the Mahogany, you don't see that often, but the Limba has a smoother feel than Mahogany, so it should be faster. Plus, those laminate strips look excellent. Will
  20. hi bro! do u still have sperzel tuners? i gladly take it off your hands with arms wide open.... tbdcco@gmail.com !! hurry Email Sent
  21. Maple wide enough for a 1-piece top or body is pretty hard to come by. I don't know why, but around 10" is normally the widest I see in bulk shipments. You're really limiting yourself if you want a 1-pic; I'd suggest that you go for a 2-pc top. You can find them all day long in all sorts of thicknesses and levels of figuring. If you want something plain or lightly figured, then it won't be hard to find at all.
