John, Try the Musical Instrument Maker's Forum.It is a great source of instrument building info.If you become a member(no charge unless you want to make a donation) you have access to the forum library where you can find info on all areas of instrument building and if you can't find your answer there you can post your question and have it answered by the many experienced builders who lurk there.I think you will find it a valuable resource.
