Is it still illegal if only components of the guitar are copied? Maybe the shape of a horn or inlays for example?

I just stretch the strings in gently, tune them a couple of times and theyre usually OK ie stable. If you play them in it takes ages.

Im looking to set myself up to do fret dressing on electric and acoustic guitars. Does anybody have any advice on a good set of tools to start with? I guess they'll be fairly expensive due to the specialist nature. Thanks.
