couple years back i had a pretty heavy sound in a washburn V dualHB a dimarzio super D in the bridge and a emg 81 passive in the neck i r love the super D the emg was nice for a passive neck position crisp i would call it

i thought u meant shielding, as in adding copper paint or tape to line the inside otherwise you mean the type of wire your using is shielded?

yeh some of those sites are confusing, and tend to be not so user friendly so you have to be totatly clear on what you want before you search otherwise the variety will kill you

heh why are you assuming that i didnt search and didnt read all im doing is lookin for clarification more often than not the responses in over 3/4 of the diodes posts consist of "search you peon" instead of actual usefull information now i know it gets annoyin for you mods and i appologise for me it gets annoying to seach a forum for info when your results are replies sayin "search the forum" so yeh heh im a nub my bad

true but the more info one has the better off they are in deciding when i look up schottky diodes i see thousands of part numbers so it helps to give referance to a part number instead of a brand name and when you normaly look up diodes you see all kinds things that throw you off if your not a electronics geek and know what to look for silicone, recrifier, switching, zener, singal, dual, ect all that is greek to someone who doesn't know from experience

awsome so would a distortion pedal also have low voltage diodes? i did a mod to my ibanez ms-10 which was basicaly taking 2 sets of diodes out i have those diodes lying around and am wondering if they would work one set equals two diodes, so a total of 4 diodes

does a LED work in place of a diode for this appliation and if so what kind? and since therea re quite a few ratings to look at what makes the BAT41 the right choice?

in regards to your black ice tut can you go into more of a descripton of what types of diodes are suitable, what their ratings should be, what to look for maybe even go into how the ovderdrive sound is created by a diode "low voltage schottky diodes" doesn't help me much in understanding how this tut is supposed to work for example what is the difference between a diode you see on a distorion pedal and the ones you mentioned
