  1. How about some big fighter-related symbols on top of the metal? Maybe - something like this mouth What do you think?
  2. Well, the guy that managed that web space on which I relied for about 5 years now has some problems with the billing information... The problem is I didn't talk to that guy in 4 years it'll be too awkward now... Credit card expired or something. Anyway, photobucket: Guitar without varnish Guitar before painting, a while back Do you still want it? :-P Seriously though, I will probably sand everything off and just let the wood show its awesome color. By the way, how's pine for body wood?
  3. Yes, I'm resizing for half a year already Just kidding... The server is offline for some reason. Where can I upload the pics to? By the way, I don't like the outcome of this burst paint... and I put the guitar aside for now, when I'll have enough time to work on it I will, but I might just trash it or put it in a closet somewhere.
  4. You have to choose one from each manufacturer though in order for the poll to work... I only use Dunlop Nylon Heavy and Tortex Heavy so I had two extra random votes besides the ones I actually use, one for a "Premium Heavy" Fender and "Something else" from the Gibson list... Can you fix that? Edit: I saw your post edit just now...
  5. wow, at first when I read this thread I thought "it'll never turn out nice" but you actually made it look really nice and original!
  6. It doesn't sound quite like the real berimbau... however, the electric guitar doesn't sound quite like an acoustic either The first time I read this thread I actually had a dream about it that night When I played a berimbau a long time ago I remembered being able to make only two major notes, I think by pulling the string or something like that.
  7. That's an exquisite rack, I must say... How does that neck 'lock mechanism' work?
  8. If I'm not mistaken, volume pots have a logarithmic taper while tone pots are regular taper. Any way, these links should help you: http://www.guitarnuts.com/wiring/voltonecon.php http://www.guitarelectronics.com/category/...asicwiringfaqs/
  9. I've opened a thread about this kind of pots: http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=26080 Hope that helps.
  10. You can make a sitar sound by, after playing a string, you touch it very very lightly with your fingernail. I know it's not a solution, but maybe it will help you identify the problem.
  11. you can add simple dot 'inlay' so it's easier to know "where you are"
