You have to choose one from each manufacturer though in order for the poll to work... I only use Dunlop Nylon Heavy and Tortex Heavy so I had two extra random votes besides the ones I actually use, one for a "Premium Heavy" Fender and "Something else" from the Gibson list... You can make a sitar sound by, after playing a string, you touch it very very lightly with your fingernail. I know it's not a solution, but maybe it will help you identify the problem.

you can add simple dot 'inlay' so it's easier to know "where you are"
