Out of curiosity, why did you choose to go with 28" scale? Do you play mostly metal, and wanted that darker, throatier, more evil sound? but I love the look of that axe! the carve looks death-defying! but I really think you should go with something translucent for the finish.

I am building an SG copy, but to my specific standards. I am still unsure as to how wire the electronics the way I want them... not quite standard. So, here it goes: I will have a '59 custom in the neck, a Gibson P94 in the middle, and a JB in the neck, I will have a separate tone and volume pot for each, and I want the volume pot of each, which will be a push-pull, to act as an on/off switch for each individual pickup. Is this possible, and if so, how do I go about wiring this. I have a basic knowledge of reading wiring schematics, but am not completely sure of myself, so words are also good along with the schematics. Thank you in advance!

Umm. Hate to say this, but don't you need someway to lay a cover over your control cavity? usually they curve in and out, so that the cover rests on top, flush with the surface, then screwed in, from your picture it looks like that may have been overlooked. you could glue in some pieces, and that might work. but otherwise, it looks good! definitely much cleaner routs than mine! mine are too horrible to post. (First time)

Personally, I love the fanned fret idea. I've been wanting to try one out to see if I would make one. Although I don't particularly like 7/8 Strings, (don't fit my playing style, 6 strings is more than enough, ) I think this will look killer when it's done!

I'm not a wiring expert, and I'm not here to tell you if your drawing is right, cause I don't know myself! but I will say that if someone on this board knows, they really should reply, I have been in the same situation as you. I feel your pain.

I say go for it! if it doesn't sound right, how hard is it to replace a pickup! If it turns out amazing, thats one more notch under your belt and one more thing to brag about!

Ok. I was planning on using Sperzel Trim-Loks, I don't think they are overly light, but my neck is pretty thin, thinner than a normal SG, but not as thin as an Ibanez Wizard or anything like that. But seriously, I really need a Template for the old, wide gibson headstock, so can anyone let me know if you have one?

I began the routing today. Finished bridge/trem rout, and began the pickup routs. end of next week I'm going to buy the electronic components from stew-mac, and once they arrive, I am going to begin routing the control cavity. I'll post pics when routing is done (sometime next week or so)
