  1. I'm planning an Ibanez DT-400 build. I have read that the lawsuit era Destroyers have a nut width of 1-5/8". Do all the Destroyers use that nut width?
  2. Those sites look good. Thanks for posting them.
  3. A Kahler string lock should work. Check www.kahlerparts.com
  4. Nice looking V! Have you tried 500k ohm pots? That should brighten up the tone. A capacitor may help too.
  5. I have a Charvel Model 6 with a Kahler. The Kahler has more sustain than a strat trem since the base plate is bolted on the guitar. It feels just like a fixed bridge. Also a lot smoother when using the bar.
  6. Sounds good! Definitely has that British tone.
  7. You did an excellent job. Where did you buy the chassis? I have been thinking about building an amp sometime.
  8. Ya I know that every one seems to swap out the crummy HZ's and they toss in some 707s or 81-7's So any one know where these things Are at !!METAL MATT!! I have only seen a few on ebay.
  9. EMG hz, which I thought were pretty weak. Much better sounding with the 707.
  10. The trem is an Ibanez Edge. Same trem on my Ibanez RG 560. More info on edge trems here It looks like the guitar was made in 1996. Nice guitar.
  11. I'm not sure why most shred guitars are 25.5" scale. It could be because they are based off strats. Personally I like 25.5" scale, easier to play the higher frets. Caparison's Horus model is 24.75" and has 27 frets. I don't think it will matter too much for shredding as long as you like it.
