  1. Hey everyone i was wondering if any one had plans for a neck removal jig, the one at stew mac is a little more than i want to spend. any help would be great. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the plans! All the parts cost under 12.00! I had a problem keeping the fret tang from turning (diagonally) to the side, almost bending the wire into a spiral, because the middle fender washer I was using was too thick. So I just replaced it with the thinnest washer i could find to keep the tang straight up. Everything turns and bends perfect now! thanks!
  3. IM TRYING TO REPLACE THE BRASS TRUSSROD NUT ON MY 1950`s KAY ARCHTOP. THE OLD ONE STRIPPED PRETTY EASY AND IM NOT SURE OF THE SIZE AND IF I NEED TO REPLACE IT WITH BRASS OR NOT. I ALREADY STRIPPED SOME OF THE THREADS ON THE TRUSSROD TRYING TO REPLACE IT WITH WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE RIGHT SIZE........ 10 32? IF ANYONE CAN HELP....... THANKS
  4. Trying to gather tools , and ideas for my new bench in my basement, Been reading alot. So what are your tools of choise for your fret leveling/dressing? THANKS!
  5. Thanks.. I think..... Yea, i thought it was a good idea, so i bought one on Ebay. I just couldnt get the picture I took of mine attached to my post so I added a link. I was just wondering if there was something I wasnt seeing before i used it on my frets. Im new to the site and ive been just reading till now. COSTO is just short for COSTANTINO (incase your writing a book).
  6. Im trying to gather tools for my first fret level. I read on FRETS.COM this old wood planer is a reliable flat fret leveler. I was wondering what the opinion is........... http://www.frets.com/FRETSPages/Luthier/To...ools/plane.html
