  1. Absolutely beautiful Scott, that is an awesome guitar, it won't be long until string up, what is the first song you will play on it?
  2. So much soul in this guitar Scott, I love it. It is amazing the difference a one piece top makes, just don't put a guitar with a book matched top too close to it, the book match will warp up with embarrassment
  3. That is looking fantastic already, your nephew is going to be the envy of all his friends when it is finished. I haven't heard of Norway Maple before, I like the grain.
  4. Unique and beautiful, very satisfying to get the vid at the end of the build
  5. OK, this build is absolutely awesome
  6. Yep this is a masterpiece, love the creamy coffee swirls in the grain and contours and the evolution forward from the Ibanez inspiration, beautiful work.
  7. That is an amazingly beautiful guitar, great evolution beyond the PRS design and after looking at the pics I had to go and get a cappuccino and a caramel slice
  8. The emergence of the modernistic guitars really was a golden age, I like the look of your plan and I am looking forward to seeing some sawdust
  9. Loving this build, the guitar is turning out looking so natural, earthy and gorgeous.
  10. Very good idea to route the neck pocket in the blank first, as you say it gives the router lots of support, also you can reposition the body outline slightly if needed when you put the neck in place and recalculate the centre line. Good luck with your second build
  11. The colour looks fantastic, the binding really sets it off.
  12. Between us we have five, I love guitars with 23 frets, I don't know why, they just look cool
  13. Such a beautiful work of art Scott, you really have proved that amazing things can happen when you embark without a rigid plan and let the creativity happen along the way
  14. Absolutely loving this thread, in today's throw away world so good to see something get beautifully restored
  15. Making these kind of decisions is part of the fun, hey, that is a great shape and a one piece body is always special, especially when it has grain that looks like a flying V right in the middle of it
  16. That is a lovely piece of timber on the top Scott, how long does it take you to chisel the contours into a top like that?
  17. Yep its looking great hope the binding goes well
