  1. What would have been the problem by naming a company you purchased a body from? You bought it,how is it? If you got something from homedepot that was sub par you wouldn't hesitate to name them would you?
  2. I'm using a hood and stopping and turning my work every little bit.It works okay, but I'm just looking for a faster way. Funny thing is that I'm thinking a bandsaw will keep my router dust down because I cut my bodies quite proud with a jigsaw. So there's a lot of stock to route off.
  3. I'm Looking for a new router. I was wondering what is a router with good edge dust collection? Usually the flush cuts just shoot dust and chips everywhere with my budget routers.
  4. Now that's a nice cigar box guitar. The matte black and the graphic are awesome. Good Job
  5. My name says it all. I prefer to smash mine on BadTone days. If it's a BadTone day,I will smash whatever I have in my hand.Without a doubt. Playing the guitars is not the only part of the outlet for me. It's wrong, but that's the way it is.
  6. I don't think there is a neckthrough tutorial from start to finish. I remember Wes did one I think
  7. You should put together a killer build and pick a Pro to give to them as a gift. A pro's circle of friends who like your stuff would work fast for reputation.
  8. I didn't see how it would swing like my router jig. Now I see the rollers.
  9. I was at Grizzly.com and wondered how this jig actually works? http://www.grizzly.com/products/G0577
  10. Get yourself a different saw is the best advice I could give you. It will be worth the wait instead of trying something that you will regret.
  11. These custom/modded ones I see on Ebay/youtube are interesting. I've been thinking of getting one. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ovs0s4T2AQM
  12. I order some wood from Eastcoast once in a while.Didn't know they had TiteBond. I need to drive up to ECSH sometime, but I'm in Yarmouth and I'm lazy.
  13. Lee valley used to have original, but I don't think they do anymore. I've seen it at Homehardware before. I just get mine with a stewmac order.
  14. I guess it's all taste, but these are louder than 81's,and a lot louder than a passive XL-500. The harmonics are just insane. They aren't cheap, but not too badly priced IMO.
  15. I just got my Ultra Violent bridge in today and was wondering if anyone has tried them? I'm gonna install mine tonight when I get home. I'm just a little curious as to what to expect. Hooked it up and it has some serious output. The palm mutes have nice edge with a well rounded bass to them. The touch harmonics ring like a bell as opposed to those "bullet ricochet" sounding harmonics. It is Loud yet Very little,to no noise even though the cavity isn't shielded yet. An awesome Thrash pickup. Nice service too.
  16. The fixes that come to my mind are a burst finish or cut a binding a little taller than 1/4 inch.
  17. I have had that happen a couple times on my hardtail guitars. The problem I had was one of the height adjustment srews on one of the saddles wasn't firm against the baseplate of the bridge,so it would vibrate creating a buzz/"sitar" sound.
  18. Ditto on guitarpartsdepot.com. They are A1,quick and reliable. My last order they forgot 1 control pot. So I emailed them and they sent out 2 pots and a nice guitarpartsdepot shirt. I luv freebees
  19. Somewhere around 18 inch wide by 26 inch long should be fine.
  20. I like high action.I measured my guitars and they are all around 3mm at the 12th. I am tuned pretty low.For standard tuning I would like 2.5mm or so.
