  1. thanks ill order a new one today!
  2. I dont know to much about electronics but i wired up the first gutiar i made, everything works but when i use the volume on a wireless system it makes a loud fuzzy click at 1 and 9.5 on a scale of 0 to 10 volume. This is the only guitar that i have trouble with when it comes to the volume click on the wireless system i was using. My other guitars (that i have rewired new pots into) doesnt make these clicks. Anyone have any ideas of the problem? Both guitars are not sheiled and i have yet to ground the toggle switch on the one i made.. maybe thats it... Anyways thanks in advance.
  3. Im in Alberta Canada, Is there gun shops in Edmonton that sell tru oil? Thanks in advance.
  4. oh nevermind its fretsonthenet.com right?
  5. Um i googled it and put it in the address bar... could you link it?
  6. I put in a licenced floyd rose in my guitar and the tremolo sustain block is to short... so the springs pop out every time its used. I'm looking for 37-42mm block either an oversized brass one or normal one, but I cant find anywhere to buy them, any help would come in handy. Thanks in advance
  7. Well i dont have 2 peices of maple that i know for a fact are different kind to compare weight, so i geuss ill just have to go with it and see what happens. Thanks for the replys.
  8. Yah im a little intimidated for this project its my first one, but im up for the Challange. Thanks for the info though.
  9. I bought some Concentrated Liquid stain in blue from Stewmacs. It says you can use the solvents water or alcohol. What kind of alcohol is used? is it just rubbing alcohol you can get at you local drug store or is it a little more complex. Plus opinion wise which do you guys think is better Alcohol or water based? Can you use lacquer thinner with stain? and would it be better than water or alcohol. Any help would be great. thanks in Advance.

  11. Thank you for the post everybody. The maple is mostly whitish but in a couple areas its got some aber coloured spots on it. So i guess its leaning towards the soft a little just because its not that white and its got a few amber coloured spots. But i guess i can decide when i sand it. Thank you all
  12. I got some curly Maple, only flaw is im not sure if its hard or soft, i think i read somewhere that both hard and soft maple can be curly/flamed. Im using it for a bookmatched top that im gonna stain, and as far as i know hard maple dosent like to be stained. so is there any key ways i can figure out if its hard or soft? or will i have to determine from cutting it?
  13. Hmm, Wheres the bar?... I dont get it ... Do you press down or pull on the things at the back of the tremolo to detune and upward bend the strings? Can it bomb dive? Can you tap and detune at the same time? isnt the wiggle stick more conveinent?... I just dont get it... I think ill stick with my floyd rose though.... Is it even a tremolo? Im confused...
  14. Calgary eh?... lol im from Alberta too anyways yah ive been looking for nitro lacquers and these guys make some.Chemcraft nitro theres a listing of stores you can get it at in Alberta Chemcraft distributers hopefully that helps
  15. I bought a on/on mini switch from stewmacs and i was wondering if you can wire it to 2 pickups like normal and just tottal skip that 2 mixed pickup position. I usually only use the bridge and neck seperatly so i figured ill knock off half a second switching pickups and never under shoot when switching to the other pick up. But is it possible to have it work normally like any other guitar but without the mixed pickup section? and would it work with 1 volume pot shared between the 2 pickups? Any help would be awsome. Thank you in Advance!
