Start
by first cutting the end off of a double sided flat file that is the length of
the tool you want to make (mine is 7 inches long). | Now
cut a piece of 2x4 that is at least 1 inch longer then your file
Set
your table saw up for a 35 degree cut | and
cut your 2x4 standing up lengthwise
Now
run a 90 degree cut down the length at the bevel at least 1/3 to 1/2 of the width
of your file | Tap
your file into the slot you just cut, it should fit snug since your slot is a
little thinner then the width of the average file
Grab
any material (cloth, suede, even an old t shirt)
and cut a couple of pieces to cover the running side of your tool, then glue them
on with any wood or craft glue. | Trim
and staple the back and ends and your ready to go! |
