| Start off by measuring the total width of your guitar body | Mask off a the area around both the top and bottom of the tremolo cavity and measure the area you have masked off | |

| Now route out both the front and the back by half the depth on each side of the total body thickness. Try not to cut into your masking tape if possible and be sure to keep the sides as straight as possible while your doing this. |

| Cut out a block of wood big enough to fit each of the cavities you just routed out and tape the smaller one against the top cavity | Using a pencil you can now mark the area you need to cut and shape the block down to from the back side | |

Sand and trim your blocks till you have as close
a perfect fit as possible

| Make sure it fits flush with the bottom of the back cavity | Now do the same for the larger block | |

| Making sure it fits flush with the bottom of the top cavity | After your satisfied you can glue in the back block | |

Then of course glue the top block in and sand both
flush to the body once they have dried.
