mrscrunter Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 hi everyone, i recently bought a mighty mite pickguard with pickups and switches ready wired for a project strat. All that needs doing is the connections to ground and to the output jack, sounds simple BUT... Coming from the volume pot are 3 loose wires. 1.) live and ground, needs to be soldered to the output jack 2.) Ground wire, needs to be soldered to the bridge claw 3.) Black wire, on the end of this wire is a piece of metal shaped like a loop. No idea what this is for or where it goes! I wondered if it coud be a second ground wire or something because it is the same colour as the ground wire (black) Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Quote
truerussian558 Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 could be to screw/solder to the cavity shielding. Quote
mrscrunter Posted August 9, 2004 Author Report Posted August 9, 2004 Panic over everyone, i contacted someone with the same problem and discovered that you only need to use one of the wires, the other can hand loose in the cavity!
