Built a drum sanding machine way back when and it looks like a mini lathe. Put a straight piece of metal on the side between the mounting blocks but I never thought about mounting an adjustable bed under the drum. That's pretty clever. And, I already have the biggest majority of the work done. I'm putting a pic of it on the photoblog soon.
