baze7
Is there a reason I shouldn't use maple for both the top and body?? Also what about using 3 woods, top middle, and back?? Thanks
asm
i think most people stray away from maple top and body because its possibly to bright sounding or not enough contrast. dont see to many 3 piece thick bodies. alot of people will probably say thats alot more glue lines than necessary
baze7
What about Ash body and maple top?
bigdguitars
Maple/maple is not good for a guitar. Think of a gibson maruder. The guitar sounds dead. If you chamber it it can sound ok. Ash maple might be ok, as long as its swamp ash.
