Bolt on joint thickness?

Hey just wondering how thin you can go when make an aanj bolt on before making it too thin? I like the accesibility of an SG and I want to put this thin area on a bolt on jaguar.

That mean sit is going to be about 1 1/2" at the joint including the neck itself.

Any thought of on how thin you can go?

I've built two basses with 1 1/2" thick bodies, and the standard 5/8" depth for a bolt-on neck cavity, leaving 7/8" where the neck bolts on. Not sure how thin you can go though.
