I like the accesibility of an SG and I want to put this thin area on a bolt on jaguar. That mean sit is going to be about 1 1/2" at the joint including the neck itself. Lex Luthier Posted August 23, 2004 Report Share Posted August 23, 2004 I've built two basses with 1 1/2" thick bodies, and the standard 5/8" depth for a bolt-on neck cavity, leaving 7/8" where the neck bolts on.
