Beno
Hello to everyone. I'd like to know what kind of pickups i might need to buy if i want a metal sound and a sound like Slash's guitar. Best regards. Beno
Jivin
A good starting point would be to check out a guitar with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge, and Seymour Duncan Jazz or '59 in the neck. A true workhorse combination.
shakyhands
Slash uses Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro's. I am not sure if that is the exact name of the pup but it is pretty close. You will see them on Duncan's page. He plays through a modded marshall, don't remember what kind. .
bluespresence
Here's some info from "Guitar Player": Slash They have done several articles with him over the years and if you do a little searching on their site you should be able to find a side bar with Slash's gear. It describes all of his equipment and how it is tied together. And who said Les Pauls can't rock!!!!!!
rob
Most of slashes sound comes from a cranked marshall 2550, with the low output pickups, so that and a metal sound might be abit hard to aceive togther IMO
