Hey, Has anyone used meranti? i hear it might be too soft for guitars? but i can get it so i might use it?

anyway no anything about it?

my next guitar will be made of this because its cheap and you can buy it everywhere, dont know if the "tone professors" on the forum know its alright, i dont really care

I have seen several big name brands using it for their Korean made guitars. The ones I've played have had no issues and have sounded great for their price range.
