replacing foot switch jack

i got a used peavey renown for 120 and i think the ft switch jack is messed up cuz when i plug in my ft switch it doesnt work... any ideas on howto fix it? ill post pics of the jack and the ft switch plug

i emailed peavey when i coudlnt find a schematic.

they should follow through with sending it to me.

also what all does the foot controller control?? can you open up the foot controller and show us that

usually they just connect a wire to ground. closing or opening a relay. one of the easiset ways is to start touching wires together. but then again. you could fry someting possibly if they are doing more than standard to ground relays

it looks like the actual jack is partially cracked to me, and the plug is bent kind of, if u look closely,

if you have a multimeter try to isolate which pins go to what wires. that wya you can source out the actuall pinout of the switch.. i suspect peavey used that system as they use it on some of there other more complex wiring.

eh, maybe ill just look for another ft switch on ebay, if mine is a 2 button for combiner and selecter, will a 3 button for selecter combiner and reverb work?

just depends on ht elayout. that can be fixed quite resonably.. you can buy the ends at mouser.
