Eruption Posted May 10, 2003 Report Share Posted May 10, 2003 I have a newly acquired maple neck/fretboard. I want to finish it/seal it before installing on a guitar. What is the recommended method of finishing a maple fretboard and neck? I own a Universe UV777GR with maple fretboard and would like the finish to be similar. Eruption Posted May 12, 2003 Author Report Share Posted May 12, 2003 Nelsonite appears to be some sort of wood sealer, correct? I'm wondering about the shiny lacquer/polyurethane finish that protects the fretboard/neck/headstock. Can you use Nelsonite before a poly coat?
