I've been playing guitar for over a year now and I've been stuck with a Yamaha strat from one of those packs. It's worked fine, but I want something with more of my own style. I looked into Epiphone Les Paul Standards but then I noticed all these things about building guitars. Seemed interesting so I did some research. Seeing as this would be the first guitar I've ever built, (if i decide to) I was thinking about bypassing a lot of the wood work and getting a pre-cut body and neck and just buying the parts to put in. I can't seem to find a place to buy a body though for a reasonable price with pre-cut holes for the hardware. If anyone could give me a place that is reliable and relatively cheap to get a body from (doesn't have to be painted) I would be grateful. And if anyone else has advice on whether it is really worth it to build a guitar the way I want it or to spend 500 and up on an epiphone, that would be great. Thanks P.S.
