wesman
Hi - I read a great article a few years ago - writen by a guy who was an electrician, he bought a squier and everyone told him that it just buzzed because it did and he had to deal with it, so he opened it up and found it was poorly shielded, he shielded it and it was great ... years later he bought a US standard and it buzzed like crazy, he opened it up and, again, found that it was poorly shielded, shielded it and again, it was great .... I'm in the process of re-finishing a indonesean or korean or whatever epiphone casino, I'm also going to put "Gibson USA" pickups (which are made in China - pretty funny, huh?) in it to oomph it out a little and while I've got it apart, I want to make sure it's well shielded because I intend to play it very loud can anyone give advice on how to do this? I'm not even fully sure what the process entails, but it seems you spray a type of spray-on-liquid-metal over the electronics cavity and that's pretty much it. Is there more to it than that? What is this spray-on stuff that I'll need? This seems easy enough on a strat or tele that has an enclosed cavity, but how is it done in a hollow body? Much advice would be much appreciated - thanks in advance -w
